Freemasonry is the oldest and largest fraternity it is comprised of adult men (18+) of good charter from every country, religion, race, income, education and opinion.  Its knowledge and system of ethics is based on the belief that each man has a responsibility to improve himself while being devoted to his family, his faith, his country and his fraternity.

The purpose of the scholarships is to promote the undergraduate education of young men and women of ability, character, scholarship and financial need. We hope the recipients will pursue careers that will be of benefit to those in need.

P.G. Porter Lodge #142 is proud to announce educational scholarships have been awarded to talented students who have been accepted to:  

• Texas State University, Animal Science and Biology/Zoology

• St. Louis University, Pre-Law

• Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Biochemistry

While we are keeping the recipient’s identity private to respect their personal wishes, we are excited to see the future contributions they will make in their field of study. We believe in the power of education and are honored to support the next generation of scholars.
